If being Methodist can mean anything, then being Methodist means nothing.

Republican Jesus is trending, but Democrat Jesus is no improvement. Jesus is not captive to our ideology. He is sovereign of a Kingdom not built with human hands or partisan boxes.

Things like Jesus being “the way, truth and life,” the existence of sin and the need for repentance are not things on which Christians can “agree to disagree.”
