My proposition is to get rid of income tax altogether and replace with a business only revenue tax. Can we all agree that the income tax code is much too complicated if we keep it though? How about reforming it so that a normal person can understand it?

This is where people get confused. Jesus did not say that a gov authority with no accountability should forcibly take your money to feed other people's kids with. Money is power. Do we want the gov to have more power over us? Have they been good with the money they have?

Lol. I'm not MAGA, but you're confusing "hell no, we shouldn't feed other people's kids" with "hell no, we shouldn't be forced to work to feed other people kids". That's what income taxes are. Our country was founded on keeping what you earn when the King was the one taking it.

Who asks this? How much of our tax $ goes to feeding hungry kids? If a lot, why can't people afford to feed their own kids? Isn't that the real issue? If not much, who cares? We don't want our money going to fund endless welfare programs that don't solve the problem.

With a tax on business revenue only, taxes become simple. Worker's don't need to concern themselves with having their hard earned money stolen. Millions of CPAs and accountants can be freed up to do productive work that adds to the economy. More money in citizen's hands. #taxes

Why should China doing well be the downfall of the U.S.? Multiple countries can't produce a lot of electricity and have advanced technologies? Isn't the goal for all countries to be developing and for us all to live better lives?

How will this be done with only a 10% increase in revenue and about 6% increase in spending? If this is possible, why don't you and the other congress members find 6% in savings from some other bullshit programs and do this anyway? How about stop giving grants and subsidies?

They will get social security and Medicare like everyone else who has benefited society by working. They should save a small amount and invest for the next 25 years and have an additional retirement fund. Many people are healthy into their 60s and can keep watching most pets.

Looks like they will do just fine. Read the actual article. Just a creative way to travel the world and save money while young. Has a higher net worth than 50% of the population at 35.

No, the people shouldn't be able to decide. People are predisposed to pick people based on name recognition and the fear of the new. It is exactly what keeps us in problematic cycles. There are millions of choices in the country and hundreds to thousands in local elections.

It is a check on power. We afford the person access to this position. People with power can learn how to better manipulate the system. It is a failsafe on dictators. Do you think it's a bad idea or just ideologically opposed because you think people should have absolute freedom?

Everyone thinks they're living the right way. The few who don't, don't think life is worth living the right way. When you encounter people with different perspectives, have some compassion. Most people are doing what they think it right. #compassion #politicalselfhelp #fun

It's okay to act cowardly or weak every once in a while. Take a day for yourself. Over eat. Watch too much Netflix. Retreat from your life. This is only correct if you use this time to regroup and prepare for the next battle. If you do this too often, it just becomes your life.

Why does everyone think this should be done at a federal level? Why not start with one state in the U.S. and prove it works? There's more people in most states alone than in all of Finland. A small island called Manhattan has almost twice the population.

If I was a strong caveman, I could kill all of the men in my village, "require" the women make me babies and clothes, but I don't think you would say it is my right to receive those things from them. I think you would call it slavery. It's not different when the state does it.

Think about how much better society would be if the U.S. fed gov spent the $7 trillion they have been spending per year responsibly. Stop pretending the gov having more money will solve any problems. They spend a quarter of the gdp per year and still haven't solved one problem.

Kevin Stolla (@kevin_stolla) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Wrong, they paid millions in federal employer taxes. You can't just pretend to classify it as something else. They pay 8% employer taxes on every dollar they pay their employees. Whatever they pay their employees, just add 8% that goes straight to the fed gov.
