Been swamped with all sorts of things going on, but had to share this milestone. Have to catchup with all the photo opportunities in my yard right now. #gardeningmakesmehappy #Flowers

I've planted a few things in between rain showers. This spinach was sown three weeks ago and it's doing better than any spinach from years past. Guess it likes to be sown a little later in the Spring. #gardening #GardeningTwitter

Glad I got the Zinnias planted when it was only lightly raining. Now I have to find a way to mow the lawn! #gardening #GardeningTwitter #flower

Peppers are still small since I sowed them later than usual. Look forward to seeing them grow faster with the warm weather we are finally getting. #GardeningTwitter #BackYards

It is so exciting when you can grow citrus in a northern zone. Meyer lemon and Key lime in one pot. Fingers crossed I can keep it alive until harvest. Big plans for the fruit. #lemons #CitrusSucces #gardening #Garden

Anyone ever have your potted aloe send up a flower spike? I’ve never seen it before and would love to know what I did accidentally to make this happen. Also wondering what the flowers will look like… #aloe #houseplants

Lost my phone today. Wasn’t in the usual places. Had to call it and found it in the repotting corner I’d just reorganized. In a bag of vermiculite. Good thing it wasn’t set to silent or I never would’ve found it!

All the pre-bonsai trees have been changing with the colder weather. (Front to back: Dawn Redwood, Bald Cypress, Japanese Black Pine (2 small ones in the black pots), Crabapple, and Wisteria. And larches on the lower shelf)

The Japanese Black Pine saplings have been doing well. The crabapple has been providing a little shade and protection from the first snow.

The trees in pots have been changing colors with the cooler weather and shorter days. The first year I've had some of these trees and I wasn't sure what to expect!

I never expected this bald cypress sapling to show such beautiful color in the fall. A deep, rich, brick red is a different color than any other tree I have. (photo-bombed by the crabapple in the lower left of the photo!)

Bought this rosemary as a large plant. I give it a little fertilizer and some sun and it blooms repeatedly. Never had this happen before! #herbs #rosemary
