Social science research has told us that myth-busting doesn't work. But how do we prevent conspiracy theories from taking hold? Interesting new paper that could shed some light on what we can do.

.KeepNassauBeautiful volunteers pulled an estimated 2500 lbs of trash out of the #StMarysRiver near the Dee Dee Bartel boat ramp Saturday morning. And that was just at one site working with St Mary’s Riverkeeper on the annual clean-up. #DoBeautifulThings #AmeliaIsland

Fun fact: #Florida is a #STEM state. STEM jobs grew by 12.4% - twice the national average - over the last 5 years. And 36% of the state's GDP is directly attributable to STEM. New data from Science_is_US here: scienceisus.org/state-spotligh…

Fascinating. A growing body of evidence supports putting employees' well-being first is a great way to increase productivity & output. And doing so by shortening the workweek and offering remote work options is also better for the planet. That seems like a win all around.

Is it just me or is Twitter particularly glitchy today? Can't tweet on some browsers, my tweets aren't showing except under replies.

I recently spoke to #WyomingPublicMedia about how the majority of US #STEM professionals don't hold a bachelor's. We have to break down the educational attainment stigma and value all paths and labor--our economy and individual prosperity depend on it. wyomingpublicmedia.org/natural-resour…

One of the things marketers should know by heart is to cater to your hard support and ignore your hard opposition. Target must clearly know where their hard support lies. I haven’t seen their research but my brand strategist gut is that it’s not people who hate LGBTQ+ folks.

Today I co-signed an opinion piece focusing on the impact of #STEM on #NM's economy. The majority of the state's #STEMProfessionals do not hold a bachelor's degree. STEM provides good high-paying jobs to folks regardless of their level of education. abqjournal.com/2605373/stem-w…

We live in a world of such deep misinformation that respected scientists - leaders in their fields - are stalked and harassed by those who have fallen prey to lies. And the science tells us myth-busting doesn’t work. We need to get to folks before the misinfo sets in.

As a McCourt School trained MPP working in science policy - I can't even begin to tell you how excited I am to see Dr. Fauci's appointment. And how jealous I am of the current students who get to learn from him. What's the policy on alums auditing classes? ;-) #HoyaSaxa
