Your debaters truly shone! Our King Edward's School and King Edward VI High School for Girls senior debaters "found that the quality of the debate was exceptionally good. Speakers had a clear understanding of signposting and rebuttal" - we can't wait to welcome you back for the next round of the competition!💬🧠

What a superb display of partnership between 9 of our 14 King Edward VI Foundation Birmingham schools! Never has there been a more pressing time for our young people to have a platform and a voice in drafting resolutions for topics with global importance, led by student chairs & board members💬🌏

For our second experiment, we used microscopes to look at some unidentified specimen. We had to then predict what we thought they were. They were a mix of insects and plants!

For our third experiment, we explored conductors and insulators by melting 2 ice cubes on a block of plastic and a block of metal! The metal felt colder but it melted the ice much quicker!

For our fourth and final experiment, we conducted flame tests! We used a Bunsen burner to test for potassium, sodium, lithium and copper. The colour of the flame told us the chemical that we had!
