Today is potting soil mixture day. I make my own. It’s a mixture of aged saw dust. Limestone topsoil and wood ash. Also has a little composted manure mixed in. I heat it up on the old outdoor cook stove for about 5 hours to kill any weed seeds that may be in the mixture.

Potting soil sterilization is going great. Take the soil to 200 degrees and hold for .5 hours and it’s done. Have about a half cubic yard of finished soil so far. Target is for 2 cubic yards for the vegetable and herb 2 inch pots. I will still add about 20 percent peat moss

Well I am about 60 percent of the way with transplanting of seedlings. About a1000 more to go. A little behind but I am catching up. Will start having plants for sale next week. I really need to build on to the greenhouse this fall.
