Former Coyote LB coach and special teams coordinator is headed to Lincoln

We're becoming concerned about strong winds Tuesday afternoon into Wednesday. Chances for wind gusts over 50 mph are near 100% though the area. With fresh snow on the ground, but temperatures above freezing Tuesday, we'll be studying the potential for blowing snow closely.

While we're focused on the high winds tonight, we're also keeping an eye on our next two chances for snow in the region. One round arriving Thursday, and a second round arriving Saturday. There's still uncertainty with these systems, so continuing monitoring the forecast.

A quick shot of mixed precipitation will be possible along the Missouri River into the Sioux City area this morning. At this time the impacts are expected to be short lived, but slick roads will be possible.
