Our librarian Sandalwood ES is pretty amazing! Mike Kuczmynda emailed teachers asking them to put together “book bundles” that students could check out for the holidays. Be on the look out for his upcoming display. Check out my “bundle” of shark related books!

Holiday mail arrived to every staff member today Sandalwood ES. My hand is getting tired writing to all 80 some staff members, but wouldn’t change it for the world! Lucky to work with some amazing people. Now time to try to out my candy cane puzzle together 🤣

Love surprise visits from my girl LaJuan D. Johnson. Sadly I was busy so we couldn’t catch up, but just a hello makes every day a good day!

This week Sandalwood ES we are taking a journey around the world. Today we visited Germany (known for gingerbread houses), listened to the story “The Gingerbread Man Loose at Christmas” Laura Murray and accessorized ourselves.

I literally have the kindest and most giving friends. My friend Heather Rey, who runs a LuLaRoe side business, raised money to buy several kids outfits from her clients. She donated 2 boxes of BRAND NEW clothes to my school Sandalwood ES. Find yourself a Heather in your life❤️

This week Sandalwood ES we are taking a journey around the world. Today we visited Egypt (where knitting originated), listened to the story “Extra Yarn” by Mac Barnett and wore our festive socks!

Today we took a journey to America from Nazi Europe for Spirit Week Sandalwood ES . We learned about Hanukkah and wore winter colors as we listened to the story “Oskar and the Eight Blessings” 🚀 Mark Siegel ☀️.

My “why!” When a former student of mine Sandalwood ES (well tv studio anchor) receives an award for being an inspiration. This girl is amazing and continues to do big things 🥰

Today our journey Sandalwood ES took us to Mexico where we learned about Nochebuena. We wore red, green, and creative sweaters as we listened to the story ‘Twas Nochebuena and learned some Spanish.

One of my fav things I do in Dec for the Ts Sandalwood ES - giving the gift of time. I dismiss the Ts for 30 minutes and read a story. The Ss create a gift & give it to their T a few days later. But when the T walks in we are working on a “decoy.” 😉 Theme this yr - sharks

Perfect night for a holiday work party Sandalwood ES. Superlatives, Guess Who, The Grinch Game, and the oven mitt unraveling game. I am tired and hurting but I think everyone had a great time. Lots of competition and lots of laughs.

The last day of our spirit week journey took us to Scotland where the wishing tree originated. They nailed coins into the tree but the story, The Wishing Tree, its different. We wanted to wish everyone a happy winter break so we figured we would grant the wish of coziness & pjs.

Find yourself a place to work that when you have a bad day/week, you have an insanely supportive staff to helps to pick you up and guide your way. Walked into this after being at a mtg yesterday. BEYOND BLESSED to work with these people Sandalwood ES ❤️

We always start our faculty meetings with a quick game, I just always forget to take pictures. Today was a last minute idea, & the groups had 4 minutes to plan and create something for Nurse Julie who was judging. I’m amazed by the creativity #letthejourneybegin

How you know you’re at the best work place ever? Had meniscus surgery today. My peeps sent texts, my PE teacher actually called this morning for a pep talk, my studio crew sent their ❤️, & some left me a little love b4 leaving (words and gifts). I am so blessed to work with them!

ABW Lunch with my 5th grade studio crew Sandalwood ES and now starting my mornings with my 4th graders. I think it’s going to be a great new group, considering Ava brought me my favorite morning breakfast bc she heard me mention it one morning 🥰

Just these 2 goofy kiddos helping with field day Sandalwood ES. Rain or shine, hot or humid, it was a busy day.

Today @Sandalwood hosted 4 Essex area schools for PD on The Science of Learning, High Expectations: Real Relationships, and Time Management. But it started with a game of Family Feud hosted by Steve Harvey to bring us all together. Love when I’m random sometimes 😆
