Your regular reminder: Jesus didn’t come to call an army and amass power. He invites us to be shaped in his character – with the fruits of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness… a cruciform life where “strength“ is redefined in our brokenness and weakness - and this humble way

“This is where we need to move away from "what does the research say" but "under what conditions does this research apply/not apply to my context and how can I apply it?"”

Our GT Humanities students are hard at work refining their Epic scripts! After receiving feedback, they’re collaborating to weave in key elements of the Hero’s Journey. Can’t wait to see the stories come to life next week!

6th grade math students Trent Middle School were having a blast today, working in groups, competing, and putting laptops aside for good old-fashioned whiteboards and markers. Great energy, lots of talking, thinking, and fun. The answer was 6. I wonder if the next one would’ve been 7 🤣

Our Incubator students are perfecting their 90-second elevator pitches! A big part of the process is receiving feedback, not only from classmates, but also from community members who share their perspectives. Excited to see their ideas sharpen and grow!

AP Psych students are diving into the brain! By choosing a celebrity brain or a zombie menu, they explored the functions of each lobe & structure in a creative way. Along the way, they also practiced our Collaboration Outcome, one of the many things that makes Emerson special!🧠

The thing that bothers me so much is not the “we have to enforce our borders and laws.” We do. It’s the giddy joy and celebration they have at the misery of people far less fortunate. Always punching down
