An enjoyable opening ceremony for the DCU Alumni Career Mentoring Programme 24/25 yesterday. It was great to hear the stories of previous mentors/mentees of the initiative, and I am looking forward to playing a part in this yearās programme.

10 years+ since we shared this building as PhD students! Great to catch up with Prof. Pavle Mocilac and hear about his research in Lanzhou University on radiation therapy in the series of talks he delivered this week at Dublin City University.

New paper from Brian Freeland and colleagues I had the pleasure to contribute to that examines the optimisation of laser-based methods for nanoparticle production. Available now at mdpi.com/2227-9717/13/2ā¦

A very engaging session on concussion in sport at TCD Genetics & Microbiology earlier today. Great to hear from leading experts in the field, and the multifaceted approach being discussed towards improving player welfare in Ireland

Fantastic to see DCU Science and Health and DCU School of Biotechnology students Niall Ashfield and Malha Muhammed recognised for their efforts of engagement with staff, students, and wider communities at the recent #DCUPresidentAwards. Richly deserved.

An intensive but really fun final two days of training with our #IrEOES team representatives, courtesy of the Schools of Biotechnology, Chemical Sciences, and Physical Sciences of DCU Science and Health. All are eager and enthusiastic for the event in Zagreb next week!

Team #Ireland preparing to embark to #Croatia for EOES 2025! After months of preparation and valuable input from various schools within DCU Science and Health, and also the students themselves, we're now on our way and looking forward to what the next few days will bring

Always an amazing time had at SciFest with the 2025 event no exception! Blown away by the creativity, curiosity, and confidence of the students with their respective projects that were on display at Dublin City University. The future is in great hands!
