TT Owen, I have no idea who you are, but I have a lot of your records… All rediscovered in discount bins across the south throughout the early 90s. Your legacy lives on. *Dinnertime soundtrack.

De Bondt spends 50+km in break, 15 mins doing interviews, then finally heads off towards team bus…sees this group of kids, does U-turn & spends another several mins taking pics/signing autographs.

Why is the long ride so important? The long ride is important for the metabolic benefits that it brings. While, from an aerobic fitness standpoint it doesn't matter too much whether the muscle contractions & heartbeats happen as 4 x 1 hrs or 1 x 4hrs, there are significant

Charlie Munger passed today. Munger had a huge impact on me. I stumbled on to him around 05 w/his Psychology of Misjudgment speech. From there, EO Wilson, Seneca, Epictetus, Cialdini, Taleb. He made a dent in the universe.

This 👇 Lots of folks setting stretch goals at this time of year. Consider this instead... #SetYourFloor What's the least that you will accept from yourself *every* day? Set a firm, non-negotiable, floor. That you will not... that you cannot... go below. It all builds from

Early volume winners in BTC ETF battle.. GBTC 31mm, IBIT 25.0mm, FBTC 10.8mm, ARKB 3.7MM.. Think GBTC is mostly selling rotating to lower cost ETF's (for those who can stomach capital gains), IBIT and FBTC looking like solid 1/2.

My take... EVERY BODY should walk 🚶 I program walking for my pro athletes, even though their heart rate will barely break 60bpm! 🫀 Why? There are 2 basic types of fitness - cardiovascular fitness and metabolic fitness. For many recreational athletes (VO2max < 50ml/kg/min)

BTC price in the first chart, google searches for 'crypto' in the second. Note the search peaks in 2021 that corresponded with price tops. FOMO has not even begun to set in.

Love this 100 day-1000 day-Decade approach from Iñaki de la Parra 100 days... is long enough to build a habit, to build a daily routine. It's also short enough that you don't need to change anything within that time. Don't. Change. Anything. Just repeat the week. It's for these

If you're wondering "how does that guy do so much exercise?" First, I love it. Second, I took the time to build bottom up fitness and widen the bottom end of my aerobic range. That process was documented and written up

IMHO, 150min/week of “aerobic” exercise are insufficient for long-term longevity and metabolic health gains/maintenance…I would say that ~300min/week should be the goal. Furthermore (and very important), the concept of Zone 2 training is NOT about cardiorespiratory

Getting Fit It's been two years since I put my plan together Revisiting the quoted chart with Monday's article. The goal is to help those of you who wish to "get fit" The amount of work required feels daunting when we look forward. In reality, we simply need to build a life

Exactly. Nassim's graphic aligns perfectly with what I'm, personally, shooting for as my baseline health & fitness distribution in my daily life. Basically, a return to hunter-gatherer levels of movement. IMHO, what our bodies were designed to do!

If you're "feeling old" then check-in with your metabolic fitness I spent a year focused on the low end of my aerobic performance It was time well spent

Something I got from the Norweigians... If using lactate to set zones then it's useful have an idea how lactate response changes over time The picture is 4x20' at the same power - note the changing lactate response. This year, I've seen a similar pattern across my interval

Great video by GlobalCyclingNetwork of the effects of Zone 2 training in just 6 weeks. Massive improvement Manon!! From ~5.5mM to 2.5mM of lactate at 160W and from 9mM to 4mM at 180w! Great work!! 👏👏👏 When I started developing these metabolic concepts for athletes 28 y.a., in order to
