A fantastic World of Work week this week. Learning about Careers and job skills. Pre 5 went around Bowmore asking people about jobs and the week was finished off with a 'Jobs Fayre' with community members. All our children at Keills were delighted after we were awarded our UNICEF SILVER Rights Respecting status after our visit from Christine Walker today. The children's passion for rights shone and we are grateful for all the support from our whole school community π€ Argyll and Bute Council Education Service

Our One Planet Picnic is in full flow. Lots of local and seasonal produce, homebaking and fair trade food. Happy #RedNoseDay2024 Everyone at Keills took part in a quiz led by our P7s, dressed up/down/back to front and sold cakes at our Bake Sale. A big thanks to the our school community who came out to support and provide yummy cakes π€Over Β£200 was raised for Comic Relief


What a fabulous day at Keills Primary for our World of Work Jobs Fayre. A great turnout from the community to let our children ask lots of tricky questions about a whole range of jobs π€ Argyll and Bute Council Education Service DYW Scotland


A big thank you to Dr Gibson, a Depute Lieutenant of King Charles III, who visited Keills today to plant a native aspen tree to commemorate the Kings Coronation and continue the Queen's Green Canopy initiative π³Argyll and Bute Council Education Service The Royal Family

The power of loose parts play πͺ All week, our children have been creative and worked together to make an outdoor gym, a shop selling precious stones for school funds and even a dog house π ( and no, we don't have a dog!) ππ€ Argyll and Bute Council Education Service Play Scotland


What an amazing turnout from our families for our 'Be the Change' Fair trade Breakfast. Lots of learning about Fair trade, Rights and Global goals...and some lovely breakfast goodies to eat! π β Β£130 raised for UNICEF Fairtrade Foundation Argyll and Bute Council Education Service


It's not often we have an Olympic Gold Medalist visiting our school! π€ A big thanks to Sholto Carnegie for coming along and talking to us all about his successes and having the mindset to achieve π₯π£ββοΈ Argyll and Bute Council Education Service
