So excited to finally receive my Gold DofE Brooch in the post! I loved the whole DofE experience (except maybe the blisters!) and would recommend the programme to everyone. Looking forward to the formal ceremony as and when it’s possible to attend one! The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award KEGS DofE

Well done to our Bronze KingEdwardVIGrammar DofE participants today and a huge thank you to our wonderful leaders and the OCs. It has been a wet day with learning to deal with flooded routes being part of the useful training but there were many smiles when everyone arrived back.
A wonderful weekend with our KingEdwardVIGrammar Bronze DofE students. These groups have experienced floods (training walk) and v hot conditions (practice exped) so they were grateful for more suitable walking weather. Impressed that one group successfully cooked pizzas!
A fantastic Gold DofE training walk on Kinder Scout with KingEdwardVIGrammar students. Sunshine, hail, wind chill to about -5°C along with peat bogs, stream work and contour challenges. Lots of safety and outdoor training covered.

We've had another fantastic KingEdwardVIGrammar Bronze DofE weekend with students developing a wide range of skills and enjoying the fresh air. Registration for next year's cohort closes on Thursday so it won't be long before we work with the next group of outdoor adventurers.
Another brilliant KingEdwardVIGrammar Bronze DofE weekend with our y10s. Thank you to all of our leaders for volunteering their time for free again. Well done to all our students for completing their expeditions.

Miss Fryer was delighted to represent KingEdwardVIGrammar at a DofE Buckingham Palace garden party today, celebrating the achievements of many young people, including alumnus Jonathan Hosking, who successfully had his award off just before his 25th birthday. Lots of great memories!
