John Keats was an English poet who died at the age of 25. He stayed on the IOW during 1817-19, residing in 'Eglantine Cottage' in Shanklin. He wrote in a letter to his friend, playwright John Hamilton Reynolds, referring to the area that would later be called Keats Green. #Keats
