STATE MEDALIST. Senior Tyrus Smith earns sixth overall in shot put for Kearney Boys Track with a mark of 17.29 meters (56 feet and 8.75 inches) in the Class 4 State Championships.

STATE MEDALIST. Senior Jacob Dillon earns fourth overall in triple jump for Kearney Boys Track with a leap of 13.53 meters (44 feet and 4.75 inches) in the Class 4 State Championships.

Good morning from back at the state capitol. Here for the final day of the Class 4 AND Class 5 State Championships. Kearney Girls Track, Kearney Boys Track, LHS Girls Track & Field, LIBERTYT&F, LNHS Track & Field and SHS Track And Field all looking to close out the season with new additions to the trophy case.

Congratulations to Ty smith for taking 3rd in the discus at the State Championships! Ty finishes his career as the 2024 state champ and 2025 all state!

TOP THREE IN THE STATE. Senior Tyrus Smith earns bronze in discus for Kearney Boys Track with a throw of 54.71 meters (179 feet and 6 inches) in the Class 4 State Championships. Smith also medaled in shot put yesterday.

STATE MEDALISTS. The quartet of Degan Knowles, Cole Burnam, Sam Way and Grant Noland earn seventh overall in the 4x200-meter relay for Kearney Boys Track with a time of 1:28.76 in the Class 4 State Championships.

STATE MEDALIST. Sophomore Sam Way earns fourth overall in the 300-meter hurdles for Kearney Boys Track with a time of 39.41 in the Class 4 State Championships.

STATE RUNNER-UP. Senior Jacob Dillon earns silver in long jump for Kearney Boys Track with a leap of 7.04 meters (23 feet and 1.75 inches) in the Class 4 State Championships.

Congratulations to Theo Grace for taking 2nd in the javelin at the State Championships! All State! Theo finishes his career as the 2024 State Champion and 2025 All State.

STATE RUNNER-UP. Senior Theo Grace earns silver in javelin for Kearney Boys Track with a throw of 59.76 meters (196 feet and 1 inch) in the Class 4 State Championships. He was also javelin state champion in 2024.

What a great weekend with these young ladies. We all had a great time at the state meet and concluded our successful season with a lot of fun and support for one another. Thank you ladies for a fabulous season.

TOP FOUR IN THE STATE. Kearney boys track and field earns fourth overall as a team with 37 total points in the Class 4 State Championships. This is the fifth state trophy in a row for Kearney Boys Track.

So proud of these boys fight over the last 2 days and we capped it off with a 4th place finish! Congratulations on a fantastic year! Conference and District Champions and a top 4 finish in the state!
