Question: is there a systemic reason so many design softwares operate on layers? Is it because we're tying back to analog processes and paper, and it just became persistant design language? Is it less computationally expensive? Something else? #architecture #technology #AEC

Much to my shame (so I'm posting it on the internet), I am just now learning Autodesk Revit. I've been meaning to forever, but the tipping point was the #generativedesign functionality. Automate the boring stuff, right?
