Breaking 🚨: Former Liverpool councillor Gerard Woodhouse has pled guilty to harassment after a woman received cards with “offensive slurs and threats” in the post. He will be sentenced on 9th December.

NEW: Former Liverpool councillor Gerard Woodhouse has pleaded guilty to harassing a former council colleague with vile cards over a period of months. Woodhouse, 62, sent some that said “c*nt, scab, Judas” as last year’s general election was called. He’ll be sentenced on Dec 9

After receiving more cards that caused “alarm and distress” in July 2025, the cards were taken by police and forensically tested. They were linked to Mr Woodhouse.

He will be sentenced on 9th December, and has been released on conditional bail.

In court today to see Ex Cllr Gerard Woodhouse plead guilty to harassment of another Cllr. Totally his style, nasty, unbecoming and vile. Even more worrying is that he has a lengthy criminal record and was still allowed to be an elected official. We deserve better.
