Traveling across England, the cracks in the economy are visible. The new govt mustn’t ignore 2 long-run strategies: Infrastructure & higher ed. UK had a great brand name advantage in higher ed. It’ll be folly to let this erode. There’s scope to raise tax collection to fund these.
