As I'm at work on my birthday (*of course* I was born on VE Day! π¬π§βοΈπ), I thought I'd treat myself to a moment with Churchill's relief map of the Mulberry Harbour at Arromanches, in the library ChartwellNT.
In September last year I was in a nasty traffic accident and, as a result, I haven't ran since.
Nine months on, I thought I'd do some good, while trying to get myself 10km-run-ready, and fundraise for Alzheimer's Society.
All donations much appreciated.

The Oscar Nemon statue of #Churchill in Westerham. It was unveiled by #ClementineChurchill with #RobertMenzies , the former PM of Australia, in 1969.
It is positioned to face towards ChartwellNT (less than 2 miles away) which Nemon called 'the place he always came home to.'
A lesser-seen view from #Churchill 's painting studio ChartwellNT, including his travelling paintbox filled with his favourite shades of oil paints, and the specially monogrammed tubes in which he kept his paintbrushes.

I can't quite believe that my first book, #ChurchillsCitadel , hit #1 #Bestseller in history categories on Amazon, on *BOTH* sides of the Atlantic, when I shared the preorder link last week. π₯²
To all who preordered it, you are, quite frankly, marvellous.

So excited to see this as I pulled into ChartwellNT this morning. Less than a month to go until our #DDay -themed programming kicks off at #Churchill 's former home. I can't wait! #DDay 80
A splendid day at #SupercarSaturday SalonPrivΓ© at the Royal Hospital Chelsea.
I selected this 1962 Jaguar E-type for my entirely hypothetical Christmas list.
On my penultimate day as the ChartwellNT portfolio's Interim General Manager (before returning to my curatorial role on Monday), I thank my lucky stars that I got to lead these wonderful sites through the glorious months of spring. π·

On Tuesday (16 April), it will be the 100-year anniversary of #WinstonChurchill , moving into the house on a hill, ChartwellNT, that captured his heart.
To celebrate, I'll be sharing an exciting announcement here, so keep your eyes peeled. π
