#otterbchampions a3 Some students are not auditory learners. I dislike signaling someone out of they are not at their comfort level. I address them by chortling reading aloud with the class and small groups. As we choral read, I do an occasional fluency check.

#otterbchampions A5 I have students use context clues to determine the meaning of unknown words. I also use flip books to have students draw what they think the higher order vocabulary words mean.

#otterbchampions I say engagement. I give my students plenty to say yes tooe get involved with especially in first grade. I try to make their work interesting and important.

#otterchampions A3 For my personal growth, I would pick management because I feel it is so important and I lack in that area. I know you have to have all of the other 4 elements operating appropriately or it will be ineffective.

#otterbchampions a4 I worked on control. I need to work on benign control. I know the more I have the power to exercise responsible control, the more freedom I can give my first graders.

#otterbchampions a5 I feel it helped them succeed more. I realized that I needed to give less consequences last week.
