Excited to have presented with rebecca andrews today at the #manswprek8 conference. We represented preschool - reflecting on our ‘maths in preschool’ action research journey.

I don’t agree with S. Mitchell on a lot of things, but as a parent, I do agree with lifting the school starting age to 6, with universal pre-kindergarten at 5. I also appreciate the recognition of ECE costs as a factor of sending kids “early” to school. smh.com.au/national/nsw/l…

THIS ⬇️!! Nobel Prize Winner Prof. James Heckman argued for this 23 years ago! Investing in the first 1000-2000 days of life has power to solve social and economic crises. Invest in the early and equal dev't of ch'n. Early investment produces the greatest returns in human capital.

Sadly, on Monday the 13th of March my sweet sister Jen died suddenly. It is a shocking loss that we still can’t quite comprehend. If you have any means to offer support her partner and children with a small donation, it would be greatly appreciated 💔gofund.me/dfec4bf2

Nothing feels right. Wish I could call her, see her, hug her, cry with her, laugh with her… wish I could stop this nightmare #grief #sisterloss #siblingloss #love

I visited John Brotchie Nursery School, the only stand-alone NSW Dept of Education preschool, & saw students explore a range of different concepts in small supported groups & independently. Well done to Rebecca Andrews & staff for leading & creating a high quality service for students.

Not going to lie. I feel so deeply ashamed and embarrassed to be an Australian tonight. I’m so sorry to Indigenous people for failing you today.

It was an ADVISORY BODY. To give ADVICE on INDIGENOUS issues. If you are not an INDIGENOUS AUSTRALIAN then THE VOICE would NOT have affected YOU. THE VOICE would not have hurt YOU or taken away your HOUSE. Not a hard concept. Shameful result. #Referendum2023

The Sun rises and brings a new day everyday. So be humble. Show respect. And support the journey. No one is above anyone. An individual doesn’t speak for all. So let’s walk together. But first we have to learn about each other to understand each other’s World. So come walk, talk.
