Most of us know at least one person trying to “get into tech.” Here's how to actually do it!👇 1. Find A Friend In Tech To Vouch For You 2. Start "Doing Tech" NOW! (And Show It On Your Resume) 3. Find Tech Companies In Your Current Space 4. Hang Around Tech

Dos and Don'ts For Customer Check-In Calls DO ✅✅✅ 📱 Be politely persistent to speak with busy customers 📅 Talk quarterly (at least!) 🔟 Ask: "Scale of 1-10, how happy are you with us?" DON'T 🙅‍♀️🙅‍♀️🙅‍♀️ 😴 Skip the prep work 📝 Takes notes without a framework

1 week. 100+ events. 1000+ entrepreneurs. It's Atlanta Tech Week | August 9 - 15, 2026, y'all! 🍑 But who’s gonna tell them all the secrets about billion dollar companies?? (Me, that's who! 😂) This crowd was the best. Thanks for hosting Atlanta Tech Village!

Corporate jobs are amazing. Great structure, predictable, good learning environments. But, the corporate job will be there...your startup won’t wait forever.

It's important to remember that tech news is rarely the whole story. A startup won't announce: * crappy terms on their fundraise * missed revenue goals * toxic investors * 90% of revenue from 1 customer * lack of product market fit * maxed out credit cards * team dysfunction

Something magical happens when you meet your support system… Several weeks ago on LinkedIn, I posted about women founding big companies. Just a few weeks later we are having lunch together to collaborate, support, brainstorm, and problem solve!

Perfection is the enemy of your startup! Counterintuitive, right? Nevertheless, here’s my advice to founders: Get the project, product, playbook, or initiative to 90-95% complete. Then stop. Perfection will slow you down, burn you out, and keep you from learning quickly!

No one cares more about your company than you! But the skills you need starting a company are wildly different than the skills you need scaling, and beyond. Can you grow and learn fast enough?

A startup is not a sprint, it's a marathon. No matter how hard you work. No matter how many hours you put into it…you can't train for a marathon in a week. The same is true when you’re building a company.

In entrepreneurship, you have to prioritize the things that have the biggest impact. Every “no” is really a “yes” to something else.
