Ireland's Twitter account is still up. It provides a clear illustration of how abusers use gender ideology as a cover. This was shortly before Ireland was arrested. It would be nice to see Pride in Surrey admit this and tell us what they'll be doing to improve their safeguarding.

So, to stress, this issue is on sitting in the middle of the desk of the permanent secretary, after his appearance at committee a week ago. They didn’t have a line to take until breakfast time. And they’ve just removed not so much a key plank as the joists of the previous line.

The EHRC urgently needs to lose its attachment to the word "authoritative" in informal statements. It is wrong in law, as it says itself in the body of the Code, and creates, rather than reduces, misunderstanding of the Code's status. From MBM response: murrayblackburnmackenzie.org/2025/06/30/res…

Part II of the Sullivan report is out today. It contains details of what I and many others were put through in UK Universities to make pedestrian points about human biology and its medical and social impacts on well-being and interests. The point is not the harms to us,

We were pleased to provide research and analytical support to the Sullivan Review. The report of the first part of the review (on data on sex and gender) was published in March. Today sees the publication of the second part of the review on barriers to research on sex and gender.

It was a pleasure to speak to Emma Barnett on BBC Radio 4 Today this morning about my report on barriers to research on sex and gender, published today. Listen from 49 minutes in: bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/m0…

They weren’t just acting as a taxi service for a paedophile, they were lending him protection and status. When a man like Ireland gets this cosy with police (qv Savile) the general presumption will be that he is beyond reproach and his sense of being untouchable is bolstered.

I take some comfort from fewer women (14) than men (19) having signed this argument against women ever declining all men in their spaces, and a higher % of male MPs than in Labour as whole. Clarifying. It feels at least like we’re beginning to boil things down to the essence.

Re the @Bookseller piece on the #EverydayCancellation research - a mini 🧵 on one paragraph. 1. It doesn’t. An endorsement from the great Richard Dawkins does, and he’s free to use the terms he likes about the report’s findings (as, happily, is the Bookseller).

Who are the Global Commission on Drug Policy that Cllr Allan Casey ? They are ideological campaigners who explicitly call for legalising and regulating all drugs, including heroin and cocaine — and they’ve been saying it for years. Not neutral “experts.” Not simply harm reduction

Repeated story. Government dominance of the parliament, over-reliance on external lobby groups (not just by the govt), the development of close relationships with those groups that then closed off other voices, the erosion of specialist media coverage, print and broadcast…./

The Scottish Government gives £100k a year to SW as generic funding, for no discernible Scottish-based activity (commercially-funded work doesn’t count). SW has flannelled when asked about this by the press. SG is now one of the largest sources of govt resources for SW in the UK.

Who has benefited from the abuse & no-platforming? Anyone/anything? Not the young people who should be our main concern. Or the evidence on transgender health care, as wary researchers back off. Or public attitudes which seem to have hardened. Ultimately counter-productive.

When I was writing my book, someone I know asked what it was about. I explained - and they said "That can't be happening. If it was, it would be on the BBC." It's unforgivable that our national broadcaster hovered between pumping out propaganda and being missing in action.

The Scottish Government’s commitment to “inclusive communication” dates back nearly 2 decades. It’s entirely at odds with the proliferation of gender identity jargon across the public sector.
