This week has been the longest year ever.

Every winter we hear about our unhoused neighbours freezing to death on our streets. Homelessness is a policy choice, but so is ending it. We can make this winter different.

As a physician, I can tell you that being without shelter in freezing weather is dangerous for your health. You shouldn't need to hear this, though. As a human being, I can tell you that we are morally corrupt as a society when we allow people to freeze in the streets.

This is what a Canadian human rights crisis actually looks like! This community is 20 minutes outside of London, Ontario. Your children share classrooms with these children. It’s time for people to stand up and speak out against this grave injustice. #ldnont
