Coffee cups are rrrrrecyclable in DC! Not every community has paper mills that can handle paper cups with plastic coating, but DC is one that does! But, the paper cup *must* be separated from the plastic lid. Only then… *ominous pause*… can both be recycled separately!

Latest from DC Department of Public Works on the curbside composting pilot program: DPW will launch the program in mid-August, selected households will receive an email in the coming weeks notifying them of the exact starter kit delivery and collection start dates.

B25-202 includes the "Ward 4 Libraries Act of 2023," which requires the Executive (likely DMPED) to utilize $5 million in FY24 "to acquire real property that is suitable for development of a new full-service branch library [in] in Brightwood Park and Manor Park"! Kate Judson

This is irresponsible Nationals Park You should close your stadium for events when under such extreme weather threats. Safety first. Profits can wait.

reminder of a quirky local impact if there’s a shutdown….the DC courts’ current plan says marriage licenses will not be issued (i think you can still get divorced as family court will remain open)

DC govt vehicle involved in an accident at 5th and Longfellow this morning. No major injuries (luckily) but scary to see yet another accident at this dangerous intersection. Visibility is terrible & there’s a hill. We need a 3 way stop here DDOT DC CM Janeese Lewis George Mayor Muriel Bowser

Over the last eight months the community of people part of my campaign knocked more than 31,000 doors, held more than a dozen events, and spoke with thousands of neighbors about Ward 4’s future. To everyone who has been part of this, I could not have done it without you.
