This #WorldVoiceDay, we are highlighting the impact that losing your voice has on those living with #MND. Mike (Mike Willis) has shared his experience of voice loss, including some advice and guidance for people when talking to those who have communication difficulties.

Over 80% of those diagnosed with #MND will experience communication difficulties, including for some, a complete loss of their voice. The MND Association can help. Our Communication Aids Service can answer queries, and provide financial support for aids. #WorldVoiceDay

Voice banking is the process of recording yourself reading a set list of sentences, recording sounds needed for speaking. A voice banking provider then uses your recording to create a digital version of your own voice. This can then be used in future if needed. #WorldVoiceDay
