Great honor, in connection with this year’s Vilnius Book Fair, to host Norwegian/Canadian film director, animator and writer Torill Kove and Minister of Culture of Lithuania Mindaugas Kvietkauskas, in residence. Kove has gotten many awards for her work, including an Oscar.

Great honor to be present in Rukla today during the ceremony for transfer of command of the Norwegian troops in the Enhanced Forward Presence in Lithuania. LTC Axel Niemann headed the ceremony where LTC Morten Hanstad gave the command to Captain Einar Odden.

Almost 100 years ago in 1924, the first Norwegian diplomatic representation in Kaunas was established. This week I had the pleasure of opening the new premises of the Honorary Consulate of the Kingdom of Norway in Kaunas with Honorary Consul Vytautas Valaitis.
