I had the opportunity this week to visit the clinic of the #SRCS (#BishaCas) in #Baidoa, supported by the ICRC since 1995. 100/150 patients a day, majority malnurished children/mothers, with a 20/30% spike in recent months due to the drought and decrease of humanitarian funding.

Pleased to have visited #Baidoa prison this week, and seen the rehabilitation work done by ICRC in 2025 to improve health and hygiene. Very good discussion as well with detaining authorities. In 2025, the ICRC conducted 56 visits to 20 places of detention across #Somalia.

While visiting the colleagues of the #SRCS (##BishaCas) in #Baidoa last week, I met with a team of the Physical Rehabilitation Centre of #Mogadishu, supported by the ICRC, who had travelled to Baidoa to fit amputees with prosthesis. Nice encounter, and nice outreach programme!
