The sad chart has a (small) pulse! USA shipped 1.37 mln tonnes of #soybeans to #China in January. ▪️Largest monthly volume since Feb. 2018 ▪️Smallest Jan volume since 2006 ▪️Sep-Jan exports total 1.84 mln tonnes ▪️5yr Sep-Jan average is 24.8 mln tonnes

Offering $2/bu on #soybeans this year vs $1.65 last year would literally be encouraging unneeded production (even WITHOUT a trade war). Seriously, if you need an example of a country encouraging excessive crop production, look no further than #China.
