It’s that time of the year. Or, well… it should be..

Pre-season buzz. New signings doing rondos in the sun. Old favourites back in the mix. Training kits dropping and fans pretending they’ll actually buy one this time. When hope returns not in the form of a trophy, but in the promise of football. But this year? Radio silence.

No schedule. No official word. No clarity. Just a whole lot of waiting, guessing and refreshing X. The league is in limbo because a bunch of adults can’t seem to sort their egos out. The fans? The players? Collateral damage. Again.

Why is football suffering when the people who love it the most have done nothing wrong? Why are players stuck in the middle of politics? Why are clubs kept in the dark? Why are we the ones who chant, paint banners and stay loyal year after year treated like an afterthought?

You can call it a postponement. But for us, it feels like a slow death. Give us football. Enough of the backroom drama. Enough of the cold wars. Settle your nonsense. Start the league. Let the ball roll. We don't want perfect. We just want football. 🙏
