What a wonderful afternoon we had yesterday celebrating our students' success and achievements at our Honour Assembly!

Stage 1 students loved their Fizzics Education incursion today! We learned all about air pressure, cloud formations and gained insight into how our climate operates.

Parent voice in action at Kambora PS! Thank you to the parents who attended our reading focus group today, developing collaborative partnerships for a universal purpose.

Kindergarten loved their excursion to the Field of Mars focusing on the needs of living things. Students and their teddies participated in a number of activities including an earth walk, habitat games, story time and an amazing picnic in the bush.

When we write, we love to get feedback! Kindergarten went to the Stage 3 classrooms today to share their writing on their favourite seasons. We are learning to use capitals and full stops. Thanks 5/6S!

Stage 3 students spent the afternoon investigating conductive materials. They used their circuit building skills and put all sorts of items to the test! We thought the inside of a popper would be highly conductive BUT the aluminium is coated and is actually an insulating plastic!

A wonderful morning was had by all the students that attended the zone cross country! Thank you to the parents who helped and supported our students.

Last night, 20 of our Kambora students performed at the Sydney North Public Schools Dance Festival at Glen Street Theatre. They did an incredible job on stage and in the lead up to the festival, rehearsing at school and at home throughout Term 1 & 2! Well done, dancers!

As part of NAIDOC Week, we had an incredible indigenous artist, Zachary, create a special artwork for us yesterday! This mural represents the Kambora community working together cohesively in a supportive learning environment. We love our new mural - thank you Zachary!

Stage 3 and Kindergarten came together for a very special lesson this morning. Kindergarten shared their persuasive writing with their buddies. Stage 3 students took on the role of mentor, offering feedback on their goals. We loved celebrating their success together!

What a fabulous time we had this week celebrating Book Week with our very special Book Parade! Thank you Mrs Allman, our amazing teacher librarian for all your hard work and organisation, and thank you to all the families who joined us!

Years 3-6 students and parents have shared lots of positive feedback about our new home reading initiative. A huge shout out to 4P who this week increased their minutes spent reading from 3918 to 6086 -- that’s an average of 235 minutes per student… WOW!

A huge thank you to our wonderful P&C for coordinating a working bee last Sunday 21 August to help get our gardens ready for Spring. It was great to see our amazing community volunteers support our school!

As part of Stage 3's conceptual unit on Earth and Space, 5/6S have been learning about and creating artworks depicting Aurora Borealis. They used chalks to illustrate the beautiful colours created by the electrons that originally came from the sun! Check out our incredible work!

Stage 3 had an out-of-this-world experience during the ‘Great Space Docking Challenge’! This project required astronauts to communicate and work collaboratively to navigate their space vehicle from the International Space Station and successfully land on the docking station!
