If a student asks you for an accommodation (ex. an extension) because of their mental health, what do you do? I'll tell you what I do. 1. Validate 2. Accommodate 3. THANK them for prioritizing their mental health! Teach youth that something positive comes out of asking for help.

We went on a virtual field trip to the ROM and learned about the science of Mine Craft! Pear Deck makes it easy to see how Ss are feeling, what Ss learned and if they enjoyed the trip. 👍🏼

We had so much fun learning to code and create our own games using Scratch today! A big thank you to the Western Engineering Outreach Program for running this event for us.

We estimated, we counted and then we wrote clues and created our own Esti-mystery. The jar and our clues went across the hall to see if they could figure it out👀 How many eyeballs are in the jar??

“Ms.kaldeway did you know I don’t have to wait to use the 1 cup, I can use the 1/4 four times instead!” One student saying that prompted other groups to find out why. Experiments and recipes create so many learning opportunities!

We learned so much today at the Virtual Experience the Trades Event. Students were so excited to bring home their model picnic tables! #experiencethetrades
