The internal struggle of having to assign grades while simultaneously knowing grades this school year mean nothing... also, that grades every year mean absolutely nothing.

Only 3% of Black students learn computer science in high school or beyond. Please watch and share this video. Inspire a student. Together we can change the face of computer science. #BlackVoicesForCS

I mentioned Y2K to my students in passing today and realized that they had no idea what I was talking about. I have never felt so old explaining it to them... glad I just finished listening to @yourewrongabout about Y2K #iTeachCS #CSforAll

Does anyone have a norm that is intended to convey the need for mutual respect in a learning space that they like? I don't love "Be respectful" because it is too vague. #edchat #edtech #iteachmath

Our house has hosted a Little Free Library for years now. Well today, I opened the Tiny Math Studio!! It's stocked with lots of mathy goodies, including Panda Squares from MathHappens, Zines from Public Math, origami projects, string-art kits and more.

I decided to bookend my career at Lake Denoon by wearing the same shirt on my last day as I wore on the first day our school opened in 1999. All staff wore this "Teamwork built Lake Denoon" shirt. Thanks, Muskego Norway, for 37 wonderful years!

Attending a webinar on CS education in rural communities with MAD-learn and Jennifer Rosato - great success stories all over the Midwest! Also, love the “STEMinist” shirt!

#mtbos does anyone have a good way to describe “easy” “medium” or “hard” problems that doesn’t use stigmatized words? I like “mild” “medium” “spicy” but I’m interested in others’ ideas!
