I am amazed at the stuff that is said on Twitter from Greg Abbott and his cronies. It reminds me of an eighth grade boy trying to convince us that his girlfriend lives in Canada and we’re all like “yeah, ok” but no one calls him out and we just all know he’s full of nonsense.

Greg Abbott Trick or Treat, folks! Private school parents get offered even more “carrots” in a voucher, while public schools and teachers get a vague promise of more funding. 😱 Like a bad horror sequel Abbott’s latest is more expensive, and even worse.

So the right to choose the education a parent wants their children to engage in has been a legally protected right in the U.S. for 98 years. School choice isn’t new, my friends. Stealing money from public schools is the new part. (2/2)

As a mom w/ 2 kids in public schools, I am one of the millions of TX parents w/ “skin in the game” in this voucher fight. Our teachers are the beating heart of our neighborhood #txed public schools. We must do better by them and not tie their pay to a voucher scam.

We hire teachers for their strengths, yet we fixate on managing their perceived weaknesses. Imagine the impact if we not only identified and celebrated strengths but also created a culture actively nurturing and amplifying them!
