I am coming off maternity leave next week, and this is just a FYI that even though I have taught all 4 courses before I have still spent about 15 hours preparing them. That’s just for long range & unit plans, course outlines and one day of lessons. #teachersworkhard

Tomorrow is my last day of maternity leave. Excited as I am to see my other kids again, the sting of leaving my baby is layers deep. I am going to ache for her throughout the day. I mean look at her. She’s perfection.

I did a lesson with my students where I brought back word work with decoding Greek and Latin prefixes, roots, and suffixes. The kids were floored that they could approach vocabulary in this way. I was floored they didn’t know. My take: cueing sucks and we need to shift… now

I had a #Wordle streak of 101 days and when I went to play this morning it had reset, even though I could open the tab where I played yesterday and see I didn’t miss a day. I am devastated.
