Breaking: as of this hour, the Highway 30 expressway north and west of North Bend is open as far as Highway 79. East-West Highway 30 traffic will remain on its previous route through North Bend. See details in tomorrow’s Eagle.

As of this morning, two lanes of the Highway 30 expressway are open from Hwy 79 to Fremont! The RCUT is now in effect. Anyone on 79 wishing to remain so will turn right at 30 and do a U-turn. Anyone on 30 wanting to turn left onto 79 will have to go past 79 and u-turn. 🚗💨

Out with the old, and in with the new! On Sunday, crews demolished two sections of the Columbus Loup River Bridge, to make way for construction of a brand new bridge. It's part of the Columbus South Bridges Project, which is anticipated to be complete in fall 2027.
