Yes this is what people who commute in Ottawa are going through every day. I am fortunate to be able to walk to work and not have to rely on transit but I hear so many stories of it taking people 2-3 hours on OC Transpo to get to work. We deserve better. #Ottawa

Does #Autowa have a pedestrian plan? If so, I would love to read it because our current plan seems to be to treat pedestrians as an inconvenience, blame pedestrians when they are injured or killed, and do nothing to make our roads safer for pedestrians. #Ottawa #OttWalk

It’s so frustrating how limited access to public bathrooms is in Ottawa. It’s so unfair that you have to be privileged and buy something to use the bathroom (other than the few secret bathrooms with limited hours). Public bathrooms should be a human right. #Ottawa

I’d love to go hiking, snowshoeing, and skiing in Gatineau Park during the winter but unfortunately it’s not very accessible by public transportation and there’s no shuttle during the winter so unfortunately those of us who don’t own a car can’t enjoy it.

Adrian Archer The park itself is accessible by transit from Hill and Chelsea but places in the park like trails or Camp Fortune (for skiing) are quite a ways from the bus stop. When I’ve taken STO or Transcolline I’ve had to walk quite a distance to the trailhead.

Adrian Archer And from Ottawa it’s 2-3 buses and 1-1.5 hours to the outer limits of the park vs a 20 minute drive. So it’s possible but not the most convenient.
