Yea, I mean anyone remotely familiar with X-date forecasts knows these are relatively uncertain estimates, even the ones from the Treasury. Really depends on the inflow of taxes, which can be uncertain (ie, see April), as well as timing of extraordinary measures.

You managed to repeat every D talking point regarding the debt ceiling, all of which are wrong, if not a straight up lie. Nothing the Rs have put forward thus far has been extreme, but utterly reasonable. Spending has to be cut somewhere, we are on an unsustainable fiscal path

What’s viewed as wasteful depends on your politics. But you’re right that cuts to discretionary spending will not balance the budget. Congress needs to look at reforming entitlements. This is politically unpalatable, though. Even the most fiscally conservative won’t touch it.

Just read about modern biblical critics’ rejection of the validity of Danielic prophecy in Jim Hamilton’s excellent book on the biblical theology of Daniel, With the Clouds of Heaven.

Excessive quarreling, by the way, is disqualifying for the office of pastor (1 Tim 3:3). So, let’s continue to push for accountability, transparency, and sound doctrine in the SBC. But let’s also call out the quarrelers and dividers who seem to just want to pick a fight. 3/3

Pretending that the exclusion of women in the office of pastor is a product of 19th century sexism is to ignore pretty much all of Church history. In fact, reinterpreting 1 Timothy 2 to confuse its clear message is a product of 20th century liberalism.
