I'm excited that Justin is joining our Digital Storytelling Team. I can't wait to see the work he will do along with so many others in our newsroom. Welcome to Atlanta and to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution!

5/ There was the pharma CEO who dumped about $1 million worth of shares in his rival’s stock the day before the company’s largest one-day drop in share price that year. (He then bought the dip and sold again before the announcement of an SEC investigation sent the price tumbling)

Breaking: The Arizona State Supreme Court has ruled state law does not compel the Governor to carry out an execution warrant. It only "authorizes" the executive branch to do so, and Gov. Hobbs has stated she will not resume executions pending a review of the process.

Arizona is losing thousands of government subsidized, low-income housing units, thanks to a legal "loophole" that allows property owners to raise rents to market rate. “You’re making money by throwing the most vulnerable people onto the streets.” azcentral.com/story/news/loc…

THE ARIZONA REPUBLIC GUILD IS WALKING OFF THE JOB 🧵 It's very simple, what Gannett is offering us would leave some members with LESS money in their paychecks each week, and that is unacceptable. We've started a GoFundMe to help support our journalists bit.ly/AZ-GoFundMe

After four long years, we have a tentative agreement. Despite cuts across Gannett newsrooms, our Arizona Republic Guild 🌵 won a contract that raises wages for everybody and preserves medical and retirement benefits.

I’m one of the ones that will be substantially impacted by this contract. It will provide the opportunity to take better care of my family and spend more time with my son. I’m grateful to all those who worked hard on this. Holding my son as he slept tonight felt different.
