I am reminded each day just how precious the rule of law is. It is the bedrock of our liberty & system of self-government. For my daughter Romilly and your children and grandchildren, I will always dedicate myself to the rule of law and preserving a free and fair justice system.

After Gov. Greg Abbott appointed me to the Supreme Court last year, the People have had two chances to weigh in—the primary in March and Tuesday’s general election. The voters decided to renew my contract. Here are my thoughts, summed up in three words: Thank you, Texas!
