On Thursday, Alabama plans to execute Willie Smith. He was convicted in a terrible murder, but got death after first turning down a plea deal for life. The jury voted 10-2 for death. Fed law & every death penalty state EXCEPT Alabama requires unanimous jury for a death sentence.

The Alabama Legislature is debating whether to repeal one of the harshest sentencing laws in the nation: The Habitual Felony Offender Act. Our State's three strikes law incarcerates Alabamians for decades. Tell your legislators and tell them to repeal this racist and cruel law.
