New PRESS BOX w/ Sean Fennessey: A very fun, very personal discussion about the Future of Physical Media. What's going to happen to magazines, blu-rays, books, and newspapers...and why do Sean and I keep collecting them? open.spotify.com/episode/2UQRg8…

Some listeners are upset The Big Picture put INSIDE LLEWYN DAVIS on their list of the top 25 films of the century (so far) over NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN. To me, it’s the right choice: A beautiful exploration of grief built on layered performances & music that absolutely rips. Let’s go!

Of the last 10 movies I’ve watched, my favorite and least favorite: 1. My Neighbor Totoro … 10. Raising Arizona boxd.it/2ZR6

If you dislike Before Midnight because it strips away the fairytale sparkle of the first two movies I think you should grow up

I have long felt BEFORE MIDNIGHT has a case to claim it’s the best of the trilogy *because* it has to grapple with time and the consequences of its characters’ actions. It doesn’t downplay what happened in BEFORE SUNRISE or BEFORE SUNSET, but actually reckons with it honestly.

A single podcast episode about ANCHORMAN and ZODIAC? Brian Raftery you didn’t have to make an episode just for me, but you did, and for that I say: MISSION ACCOMPLISHED

The fact that we have smartphones that don’t lay flat (face up) on a table anymore — and that most phone cases seem to treat this like a feature, not a bug — is a failure of modern technology.

I'm gonna be more like Ryan Coogler. Never seen that guy complain about anything, or get annoyed about anything. Dude just locks in, works hard, uplifts his people, makes cool stuff, and thanks his wife.
