Bois Forte Band of Chippewa announce closing of WELY radio station as of June 1 barring an 11th hour deal. The station started in 1954, closed in 1987, reopened in 1995 and was purchased in 2005 by Bois Forte. The band lost over $1.7 million during its ownership.
