Somebody was asking on FB about School Trustees and if you didn't vote for them, would that invalidate your ballot. The answer is NO. Your ballot still counts. However, I hope you will find out who your School Trustee is. It is an important position and sadly overlooked.

Think of your most challenging student. Now imagine that you’re their parent. I know it’s hard... but really try to imagine. How much patience would you have? How much potential would you see? At what point would you be willing to give up? Seriously.

When we take time to build relationships with the adults around us, it doesn’t really have anything to do with student achievement. But it has everything to do with culture. And in the right culture, teachers will thrive, students will thrive…and the achievement will increase.

Teachers don’t always need to inspire kids. Sometimes, it’s enough just to be nice to them. It’s hard to be a kid.
