Excellent piece on EU-#Tunisa deal w/ many arguments often overlooked, including the political risk in EU. Worst of all, Meloni got this deal (that will change little) in exchange for agreeing to the EU asylum reform proposals, from which the Med5 states gain absolutely nothing.

Thumbs up. What I did miss: What's the story behind highlighting that Romania and Bulgaria are "leading the way" with their approach to asylum and return? Their Schengen bid/trying to reassure that they will be effective gatekeepers?
