Always proud of way Pat Cummins represents our country. Bowls his heart out, fronts media on the field at Headingley within 10 minutes of finish, crowd boos & he’s cool, considered throughout. Australia will win this #Ashes Cricket Australia #Ashes2023

It’s going to be great debate over next week before July 19 start, Michael Randall. Labuschagne & Smith have not set world on fire this series. Nothing to lose moving them. Keep Head at No.5 as he works well there

This is why we’ll win another Test & clinch this series. No panic. We’ll play better at Old Trafford. Can’t wait for fourth Test. Bring it on!!

Mick Jagger has just turned 80. Massive cricket fan. Early investor in Cricinfo. In 1997 he ploughed money into a deal with Cricinfo to provide web-based commentary and coverage of England overseas series because he wanted to keep up with play while on tour. Also a good singer.

Finally, a former England cricketer who doesn’t look for excuses. England doesn’t have the urn because it “messed up” the first two Tests. Nothing to do with rain. Well said, Steve Harmison. #Ashes

Nothing is happening for our bowlers at The Oval. If Broad & Anderson were bowling they would have changed the ball four times by now! #Ashes2023

They should. He’s English. He’s annoying. But he’s been a hell of a player & added more than most to the rich tapestry of the Ashes. Guard of honour … then belt him around the park

“Gulbis-ball” wins for Carlton Cricket Club. Casey-South Melbourne faced 194.1 overs for the game, Carlton 82.4. This afternoon’s run chase (250 to win off 36 overs) was a treat to watch. Had 5.2 overs to spare. Gotta applaud that. Big congrats. Vic Premier Cricket

Officials in Vic VSDCA have been talking for a few years about bringing in a salary cap. They've finalised details and it's starting next season. codesports.com.au/cricket/local-…

Another day, another record goes into the books for golf legend Tiger Woods. Forced to play 23 holes on the second day at the Masters because of poor weather, Woods, 48, made the cut for a 24th-straight time. MORE 👉 bit.ly/3Q1wvOe

How many teenagers have single-handedly changed the direction/attitude of their football club? Long way to go, but take a bow Harley Reid. I haven’t been interested in Eagles games in years. I am this season. West Coast Eagles Herald Sun Sport SuperFooty (AFL)

Hats off to Oscar Piastri. Fantastic win at Barcelona Formula 1. Flawless under pressure. Very little Piastri appreciation from Sky Sports F1 but not surprised. British commentators not excited about fast Aussie! Oscar brilliant. 👏👏 Herald Sun Herald Sun Sport

Ashes tickets went on sale today. Hours in queues. Why would Ticketek Australia open access to tickets for four Tests on the same day? Madness!! Spread the access out to ease a system which clearly cannot cope. This was foreseeable. Not good enough cricket.com.au

Fantastic crowd & atmosphere in Darwin for Aus v South Africa T20 international. We should do this more in the far north. Take the game to our home fans & grow cricket. Plus it helps ease our crowded summer schedule. 👍👍 Cricket Australia Herald Sun #AUSvSA
