Big shout out to the wonderful teams we’ve been working with at The Salvation Army and Age UK Portsmouth ! They are continuing to deliver food to their normal client base, as well as providing food to new clients – a further 632 vulnerable people have been supported!

Portsmouth has now got its strategic store of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) for care homes, nursing homes, carers supporting people in their homes, GPs etc. This tides us over till next week. A a panic when 7,000 waterproof face masks left behind, but got. Do keep safe.

The total number of deaths in hospital in the U.K. is 8958 we had the highest death rate in a single day yesterday. We’ve been told today 19 NHS workers have died. We don’t get daily figures for those who die in Care Homes. The lack of adequate PPE is a scandal and costs lives.
