Our hearts go out to Jordan Neely. This heartbreaking story highlights the work we must do to end stigma and hate towards our community members living with mental health concerns who may or may not be stably housed.

"I am deeply concerned about how B-HEARD is operating & police responses. What we saw w/ #JordanNeely shows the necessity of having mental health crisis response w/o police intervention." TY Shahana Hanif at today's New York City Council Mental Health Comittee hearing. #PeersNotPolice

If you weren’t already ACAB watch the videos of nypd responding to protestors outraged at the lynching of Jordan Neely. They have no business responding to mental health emergencies or really anything…ever. They work and uphold a culture of violence and white cis male supremacy.

"How many case workers do you think #JordanNeely had before this? This is an issue of racism, classism, & ableism+ the fact that our human services workers desperately need a COLA so people can have consistent case workers where bonds are formed." We are outside #nyccityhall before the New York City Council executive budget hearing on #mentalhealth, #disabilities, and #addiction calling for #PeersNotPolice and that 988 can’t wait to be integrated as a triage system

“We need 988 to be a dispatch system. 911 will always divert back to a police response. We need ppl who know how to specialize and can connect with individuals in crisis.” Jordyn Rosenthal Community Access #JustPay at CCITNYC #PeersNotPolice Budget Rally.

Wow Uber must have paid a pretty price for the amount of times they were placed in this mornings POLITICO New York newsletter re congestion pricing. A good advocacy strategy if you can afford it.
