Reports are that Italy wants the G7 to pledge a date to stop burning coal; Germany is not so keen. Also, all the other countries would like to support all clean energy sources, but Germany wants to pretend nuclear doesn't exist.

Really enjoying this new sport of competitive longevity. I probably won’t live long enough to know who wins, but there’s a good chance of knowing who loses.

Governor Whitmer Governor Gretchen Whitmer on restarting a nuclear power plant:

“Restarting Palisades will protect 1,700 good-paying high-skill jobs… and power more than 800,000 homes.

In other words it’s a B-F-D”

This is such a tragic waste of time, energy and opportunity.

It is insane to be working against clean energy in 2024!

Plus, nuclear deserves better.

Nuclear energy should be held to account like any other industry, but by people who actually /know what they are talking about/.

Or in other words, every semiconductor factory in Japan requires a single nuclear reactor 🇯🇵☢️

That's one reason why Japan's government is lobbying to restart all of its idled nuclear plants. Cheap & clean power is needed to make Japan cost competitive in this sector
