Our department held a pumpkin carving contest yesterday and some members of the The Joung Lab won with this pumpkin! I have to admit that my face on a pumpkin is not something I ever imagined I would see...! 😂(Thanks to Regan Szalay for the pictures.)

Nyla reporting in from #cshlcrispr22! I was looking through the The Joung Lab Addgene webpage, in preparation for today's 2 pm talk by Dr. Joung on CRISPR prime editing, and found their delightful lab webpage hubs.la/Q01kGVDN0. The quotes are hilarious!

Excited that the latest The Joung Lab paper describing split #CRISPR prime editors is out online Nature Biotechnology today. This work was led by Julian Grünewald, Bret Miller, Regan Szalay with co-authors Peter Cabeceiras, Chris Woodilla Eliza Jane Holtz Karl Petri nature.com/articles/s4158… 1/7

It was one of the most inspiring & heartwarming moments of my professional career to have 21 years of The Joung Lab members & alums gather together the other evening to celebrate their accomplishments and the (belated) 20th anniversary of our group. More pictures in tweets below. 1/5

It was so nice to have the The Joung Lab annual holiday party last night in person and before the holidays for the first time in three years! We missed those of you who weren't able to join us and thanks so much to Dylan Smith for organizing this special event.
